After numerous complaints at the blog, comments have been closed. Lumenos 23:03, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
I checked the blog, and comments are open 16:15, 22 February 2010. --Shuhari 16:16, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
I didn't check this until today. At the bottom of the blog it says, "Comments are closed." In the middle it says, "This entry was posted on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 and is filed under mediawiki. You can follow any responses to this entry through RSS 2.0. Both comments and pings are currently closed." I can see no way of adding a comment. Lumenos 19:56, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
My apology for not noticing your last post, Lumenos. I asked the blog master to have a look why the comments are closed. It was not intentional.

The blog master found out that there was a limit on the duration. The duration has been expanded to 60 days, so please comment. :-) --Shuhari 02:49, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
Humm, strange that commenting was open for you but not me. I prefer commenting in wikis. My comments here were deleted by an anonymous editor, but I put some of them back. Lumenos 04:40, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]

Line breaks and fused words

[previous text was deleted]

With which projects are you experiencing the line break issues? The iFrame which caused line breaks was disabled on February 13th, so the problems you are experiencing is not caused by the usability beta. --Shuhari 16:13, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
I'm not sure what you mean by a project. On Feb 21, using SeaMonkey 2.0.3, it introduced many line breaks using "beta" on Secure Wikipedia. On this page it did a bunch of word fusions that I left for you to see. It has never done this when I'm using non-beta. On Feb 9th, it created line breaks with Firefox, but Firefox does not seem to be having these problems anymore. Lumenos 00:10, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
Today, as you can see, I reordered this page. Still using SeaMonkey 2.0.3, I selected your message and dragged and dropped it, in the edit window. Many line breaks appeared, when it was dropped. It does the same thing if I cut and paste it within the edit window. In this case it is breaking lines so they end before the edge of the edit window, thus I can see the line breaks in the edit window. Tested just now and Firefox 3.5.8 doesn't have this problem with beta, and SeaMonkey 2.0.3 does not have this problem unless using beta. Lumenos 00:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
The second problem I'm having with SeaMonkey 2.0.3 today, is that when I copy and paste into Notepad, it adds an extra line break to every line that had at least one line break. Where there were two line breaks, it adds one more. Where there was one line break, it adds another. Tested just now and Firefox 3.5.8 doesn't have this problem with beta, and SeaMonkey 2.0.3 does not have this problem unless using beta. Lumenos 00:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]

Enabling dialogs to beta users

Dialog features will be enabled for new beta opt-in users and existing opt-in users on March 18th.

Internal/external link behaviour bug

While I like the behaviour that detects URLs, there's a little issue: if you're trying to link to a wiki page about a website, and the wiki page's name ends in a TLD, the link dialog automatically changes to external link mode. This behaviour is incorrect; if the wiki page exists, the dialog shouldn't switch to external link mode automatically. Mightn't it be a smarter behaviour in this case to simply indicate that the user might want an external link, instead of switching directly? Just an edge case, but I figure it might be worth accounting for, because in that case, the dialog behaviour is confusing. Cheers, Nihiltres 03:04, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]

Changelog

I don't want to keep testing something that didn't work for me before. Is there a changelog somewhere? Lumenos 04:40, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]

Inserting multiple links

Often one wants to wikify an article which has lots of missing internal links. It's a hassle to keep selecting text and linking then closing the dialogue again. Would it be possible to have a dialogue that stays on top while the user selects multiple links?--Diaa abdelmoneim 11:18, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[trả lời]
