User talk:Parul Vora~usabilitywiki
There is a request on Talk:Main Page to change the incorrect "Stanton Foundation" on Main Page to "Ruth and Frank Stanton Fund". As the request has been there for two months with no attention, I am spamming this to all administrators in the hope someone sees it. 87.194.147.203 14:49, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Localisation of feedback form
I am placing this message here because you made some comments with regard to the feedback form on the Talk page of 'Your opinion'. My previous posts on the general talk pages Talk:Releases/Acai#Localisation_of_feedback_form and the main page, have as yet had no response. Ideally, I want to know what is going on (or not going on!) as far as dealing with feedback not written in English is concerned, but if you don't know yourself I would also be grateful if you could put me in touch with somebody who can provide (oops I was going to say feedback) a respon se. I am getting a little downhearted at being unable to find who to talk to about this. Best wishes. Lloffiwr 11:33, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for the delayed response. The non-english survey results are being translated. Please get in touch if you have not had your questions answered! --Parul Vora 23:08, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Localizing icons
I think/hope that the icon sets have not yet been chosen firmly. Most people want to use the GIMP but I have prepared my own. If my set is chosen, I will be more than happy to make generic and localized versions so long as speakers of other languages indicate what letters should be formatted how. Thanks! Thanks so much for your continued interest and initiative. We have put a lot of though and work into the character formatting icons. We will be sharing our current designs along with instructions on how to create them. We would very much appreciate your help in reproducing them in other languages! All of our work is iterative and we are constantly looking for ways to improve upon the work we have done. We will be looking at updating and improving some of our other icons (references, tables, various media uploads buttons) and will look forward to your ideas and input! --Parul Vora 21:39, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Droid fonts
Hello. I'm having trouble downloading the Droid fonts that you've linked to. I can't find a download button for the free versions, but there are many links to the Pro versions. Where can I get the free versions? --Mephiles602 21:56, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Hello! We are still developing our "How to guide" for the icons. We appreciate your feedback. Perhaps this link is better for downloading the non-pro free droid fonts.
Droid
Hello, can we use different font if Droid doesn't support our language? I mean this font doesn't have support of Georgian language.--Gaeser 20:48, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Design
How can I get the design like this here on my wikipedia accounts? It has the new alignment of the tabs but avoids the annoying fade-out effect at the top of the tabs. I'm asking you since you uploaded this image. --46.127.143.63 09:43, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Hello! This is a mock-up that is a variation from many designs we considered. Unfortunately, this specific style (without the fade at the top) is not available. The Vector skin will not be undergoing any major updates in the near future, but we will be considering everyone's feedback when it does. If the fade prohibits your use of Wikipedia, I suggest you use the older skin called "monobook" (which does not have the new tab layout).
- Thanks, for the quick answer. I was already using monobook because of that, I just hoped that I could configure the tabs' appearence somewhere. I would probably be using the new skin if there were "proper" tabs. Still, I think it's a pity that this fade-out thing is the default design since it doesn't make it easier to differentiate foreground and backround and can get really out of fashion quite soon (I actually thought this fade-out fashion already is a thing of the past). I still hope this can be changed in the near future, as I wouldn't call that a "major update". :-)
Your account will be renamed
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Parul Vora. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Parul Vora~usabilitywiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
