There is a request on Talk:Main Page to change the incorrect "Stanton Foundation" on Main Page to "Ruth and Frank Stanton Fund". As the request has been there for two months with no attention, I am spamming this to all administrators in the hope someone sees it. 14:50, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello, you sadly made a BIG mistake on this page. Please fix it. 23:29, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Localisation of feedback form

My previous posts on the general talk pages Talk:Releases/Acai#Localisation_of_feedback_form and the main page, concerning the localisation of the feedback form, have as yet had no response. Ideally, I want to know what is going on (or not going on!) as far as dealing with feedback not written in English is concerned, but if you don't know yourself I would also be grateful if you could put me in touch with somebody who can provide (oops I was going to say feedback) a response. I am getting a little downhearted at being unable to find who to talk to about this. Best wishes. Lloffiwr 20:11, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New "scientific refs" for Wikipedia

Article view when script SciRefs is running. Demo page -

I wrote a new script for Wikipedia which replaces tags "ref". My script implements in the scientific (Harvard) style, but it is also compatible with tag "ref" and other markup.

Here are some examples of how my script is used:

[name] - is link, e.g. [Smith 2009] or [Smith 2009| p.121]

[*name] - is an anchor, e.g. [*Smith 2009]

For compatibility reasons, an editor should insert the template {{SciRefsOn}} somewhere in the page to turn the script on.

Additional details (description with screenshoots) can be found here:

Demo Wiki with working realisation - is here:

I would like to help make Wikipedia more user-friendly. When using this script, backlinks may be accessed via the "Back" button in the browser or the backspace key on the keyboard. This backlink will be highlighted.

This reference style is simpler than the current convention, and it corresponds to the scientific standard (author-date Harvard referencing system).[1]

Jimbo Wales commented on my work the following way: I strongly support making refs easier to read and easier to use. You might want to pass this along to the usability team?--Jimbo Wales (talk) 22:32, 5 November 2009 (UTC) [2]Reply[reply]

Addition of Template:Backstage projects to Main Page

May I ask you to add Template:Backstage projects to the bottom of Main page? Thanks! This has been successfully implemented on other wikis like Meta, Strategy or Outreach already. --Kozuch 17:23, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
